Sorry for the wait!

I know, I know.
A blog is meant to be updated regularly!

Once I find time to set aside for My Dear Ilunga, I will make up for lost time tenfold! Pinky swear!

So, to hold over while I take a short leave of absence, I leave you with a few things!

The video is 'Patience' by Guns N' Roses...[Yes, It seems very fitting!]

Seriously? Can this be any cuter?!

So, I now leave you with some of my dorky humor and music choice! But, not before I give you the link to my Tumblr account!

Now I shall bid you Adieu! (You do? I do!)

Invisible Children [Discover the Unseen]

[Picture This]

You're a child. You are sleeping out on the steps of your church with hundreds of other local children so you don't get kidnapped. Your friend, your neighbor, your siblings, they are all in danger. You're afraid to sleep, fearing that they will come and take you. Beat you. Manipulate you. As you begin to doze off you hear the sound of footsteps and then the firing of a machine gun. Young boys screaming 'Get up!' You do as your told, realizing that it's finally happened. You follow the line that has started into the trees, surrounded on all sides by boys as young as ten armed with guns and knives. After miles of walking through treacherous terrain you reach a small camp, which is polluted with the blood of the young boys who weren't strong enough and the young girls who were taken as sexual slaves. This is only the beginning...

As frightening and unbelievable as this may seem, this is a reality for the children of Northern Uganda...

This is Africa's longest lasting war. For over 23 years this radical group call the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) has been kidnapping young children and forcing them to join their army or be killed. This is brutal. The first time I heard of what happened in these camps I sat and cried. They're tore from their families, and eventually forced to kill their parents. It's sick. The LRA has made it too far. I wouldn't be able to describe to you how awful this thing is, so I'm going to post a link on here for you if you want to check out what this war is all about. [Pray for these families who are going through this, and pray that this atrocity will be finished soon].

An actual Ugandan Child Soldier

You may be wondering how I first heard of this (seeming how unpopular a subject it is)...
Well...
It was through a band called Fall Out Boy [don't lie, you've heard of them!]
In one of their music videos they tell the story of a (fictional) child soldier. The story is very true to how it is there. I hope you take time and check the video out. I'll put a link to it, but the song is called "I'm Like A Lawyer With The Way I Try To Get You Off (Me & You)"

On this note, I bid you...
Adieu!
(You do? I do!)

Twitter...Tweet Tweet?

Want to follow your favorite celeb?

Want to see what they are doing and thinking in real time?

Join Twitter!

But what else does Twitter have to offer? How is this 'Tweeting' (is it Tweet or Twit?)  thing slowly becoming as big as Facebook?

I honestly have no idea. I myself went out and made a Twitter [@thedoctorsarah] to find out....

So far, I still don't see the big deal. You read, you post, you repeat. It's a lot like shampooing. Unless you're trying to be a crazy stalker person [in which case it is the perfect website for you] stick to good ol' fashion Facebook.

But! That doesn't mean that you don't need to follow me on Twitter, because you do!

Cute Little Twitter Birds!

#Signing Out!
I bid you Adieu! (You do? Adieu!)

Day One

Hello, World!

*{Sarah Here!}*
Oh, Yeah!

It's day one of having a fully functioning blog for me! Yay! It's like the first day of school all over again...So! Many of you may be wondering what this whole blog is about. I'm sorry to say that I don't quite know yet! It's all up to what you want to know. I know that I will be doing reviews [from my perspective] on some books, movies, and television shows, so if you have some suggestions for me, let me know! Other than that, it'll just be some random 'blah blah blah' from yours truly! Feel free to leave me some of your [hopefully not too harsh] suggestions, and I will love you for it! [Can you feel my love radiating through your computer screen? No? That means you didn't leave me feedback.]

Signing out from Day One, I bid you, Adieu. (You do? Adieu!)
